Changing it won't make a difference for you, but I often use 'localhost' so I can easily move/copy config files to another server without having to edit much. Pretty much anything that allows you to reach the database server is fine: an IP address as you wrote, but if the database is running on the same machine as it looks to be the case, you could as well use 'localhost' literally instead of the '192.168.100.20' that is there now. The -DatabaseInfo lines in the realmd/nf files are only important to be able to reach the database server (MySQL typically) from the machine where the corresponding game binary is running. That might help you fix the issue, because I don't immediately see where the problem is here. I'll try to give some background info here so you can understand the purpose of things. But I can't get anything valuable except the thing that the problem should had been resolved when using '192.168.100.20' insteed of '127.0.0.1' in the conf files. I went through a lot of forums and things alike. INSERT INTO realmlist (id, name, address, port, icon, realmflags, timezone, allowedSecurityLevel) There is some screens captures of my conf (on Debian 8.9) : The connection loop occurs when using 192.168.100.20 in realmlist or the the domain-name. My wish is to be able to connect to the server through my public adress (I have a domain-name for it). This is not a firewall/routing issue, everything is allowed. My computer is in the 192.168.0.0/24 network and the machine running the server is 192.168.100.20. I installed Mangos Vanilla server and everything is starting fine, but I am stuck at the server lists and 'Connect to game server' loop. As a IT guy i'm not usually asking for help but I'm kind of stuck.
